No Town Halls in Hawaii

In an article on KH0N's website on the 14th of August, we find that the Senators and the Congressman/woman will not be doing any town hall meeting on Heatlh Care in hawaii during the recess.

Sen. Dan Inouye, democrat, stated,  "I was sorry to see the outcomes of some of these town halls because what I saw was not American," Inouye told Khon2. "Just a lot of shouting (and) yelling," he added.

WOW!  The American people have now been called Nazi's, White Supremacist, and now Not American.

If you cant take the heat then get out of the kitchen!  I think SEN Inouye feels he is safe and that no one will challenge him. He may be right but I hope the Hawaii people proves him wrong.

Sen Akaka is to concerned about the Akaka bill so he can leave something for his legacy that the top article on his site is about the Akaka Bill and the strong support the president has given it.   I could find nothing on his website about the proposed health care bill!

Hawaii has some real winners in office!

Another one for the books

In the paper on the 27th of July it stated Hawaii passed a law that would tax all winners for gambleing. Doesn't matter if you have a loss, you still pay taxes on your winnings.

Why would Hawaii complain about other states not sending people to this state for conventions and meetings when Hawaii treats Los Vegas like the way they don't want treated.

We have real winners in office. This Republic Governor signed the law!

What a disgrace.

What dummies we have in Hawaii

As bad as the economy is we are still doing crazy things. As people cut back at home to save money they are spending more times in our libraries. But the State wants to close some to save money.

Library's educate people, the State does try to in the schools but the schools sux!  We cut the schools money, that doesn't bother me so much since the school system is broke anyway. I think the school motto is, "Someone has to be the last state in education".

We let people ride around in the back of pick up trucks but have a mandatory seat beat use and no cell phone use law!  We don't have a mandatory helmet law for motorcycles but have to register our bicycles or they get taken away and impounded. We have a mandatory vehicle inspection but you see plenty of expired stickers, why don't we impound those cars?

I live in the land of Democrats and dummies!

Hawaii Cell Phone Bill

Should Hawaii pass a bill that bans cell phone use while driving? What about taxi, fire, and police? Should they be allowed to talk on a radio why driving? No need for fire truck drivers to talk on the radio why driving, they have multiple people in the cab of the truck.

Colin Powell choice for President

I was surpirsed to read Colin Powell's comments on his endorsement for Barack Obama. He has earned the right to endorse whomever he believes is best. I was surpirsed as his sexist comments about Governor Palin. He changed his mind about Senator McCain once he picked Sarah Palin for his Running mate. WOW! "But he (Powell) said McCain?s choices in the last few weeks ? especially his selection of Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska as his vice presidential running mate ? had raised questions in his mind about McCain?s judgment."

It may not be about race with Mr. Powell. But it appears to be about gender. Strange coming from someone who went so far and has done so much.
