I have been in the U.S. Army for over 21 years and still counting. I am currenlty serving as the Equal Opportunity Program Manger for United States Army - Pacific (USARPAC) at Fort Shafter Hawaii. Fort Shafter is on the Island of Oahu.
I got my Ham license in Jan of 2008 by taking the Tech and General Ticket on the same day. I waited a year and got my Extra ticket on 17 January 2009.
I am a member of the Hawaii EARC and have completed the following FEMA courses:
ICS (The Incident Command System) Training Course ICS 100a (Introduction to ICS)
and ICS 200a titled "ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents". ICS 800b, An introduction to the National Response Framework.
I am also a Alternate Net Control Station (NCS) for the EARC in Honolulu, HI feeling in when someone is sick, on vacation or otherwise pre-occupied. I ran my first solo net on 21 Nov 08.
I recently became a volunteer examiner in November 2009 and look forward to that part of giving back.
